Upcoming meetings on potential Passaic River restoration projects portal. It is important to share and encourage local submissions to keep the potential projects centered on the Passaic River.
The Federal Natural Resource Trustees for the Diamond Alkali Superfund Site—NOAA and the U.S. Department of the Interior have announced the launch of a new Restoration Project Submission Webportal. [See Image —->]
This portal allows community members to suggest restoration ideas that will help shape a formal plan to restore natural resources in the following areas:
Lower Passaic River & Hackensack River
Newark Bay
Arthur Kill & Kill van Kull
Associated Watersheds
They invite you to join them to learn more about the Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) process, their restoration planning goals, and how to use the new webportal.
They will be hosting two sessions (one in-person and one virtual) to share information and answer your questions.
